Disease Diagnosis: Lumen/Wall Volume Ratio Measurement on Pulmonary Vessels with CT Scans
This project aims to help lung disease diagnosis through automatically quantifying the lumen/wall ratio on pulmonary vessels. Since clinically, given the same total pulmonary vascular volume, different lumen/wall volume ratios may reveal different pathologies. To measure this ratio value, we segmented and separate the lumen and wall of vessels based on the enhanced CT scans. And in the future, we want to transfer this pipeline to adapt for….., because non-contrast CT request lower radiation dose thus will reduce the harm to the patients.
Neural Imaging: Automatic Workflow For Cell Mapping & Counting In Brain Regions
This project aims to assign anatomical location of mouse brains to the sections and quantify neurons. The workflow will facilitate many neuroscience researches with the reduction of manual operation demands. It can be divided into Registration, Cell Detection and Integration parts.
Image-guided Surgery: Object Tracking & Pose Estimation In VR/AR Surgeries
This project aims to develop an object tracking and pose estimation method for a VR/AR surgery. This pipeline can be divided into two parts, the first part tracks the object within the 2D space of videos, and the second part estimated the pose of the object in 3D space to guide the operation for doctors. I revised the YOLO algorithm, in order to track the corner and centroid of our object. And with the corner coordinates, I changed them into a sparse representation, and with a duall dictionary learning method, I can get the pose estimation of the object.

Our task is to track the posture of the handle when the doctor operates the handle with the video grabbed by Hololens, and further control the movement of the probe in patients' body. The picture comes from Shanghai Chest Hospital and Kunbo Technology Ltd..
Biochemical Analysis and Machine Learning: Fingerprint Mapping of Liquor
We used these mass spectrometry data to obtain high-dimensional characteristics of liquor for the design of the classifier. The data came from the Analysis and Testing Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
